- Paperbound printed pamphlet. Green paper cover. Printed in black ink. 16 pages. Contains listings of Grant Elementary Parent-Teacher Association meetings for academic year 1956/57 and its officers, as well as additional information about the values and functions of the PTA. Ulysses S. Grant Elementary School was opened in 1915 and located at the corner of Mobile and Cottage Streets in Waterloo’s “Northeast Triangle” or “North End,” the city’s most prominent historic Black neighborhood. Before the Bridgeway Project integrated the school in 1970, Grant Elementary’s student body was 99% Black.
