- This 1955 photograph is of the outside entrance to Gold Star Hall in the front (north) of the Memorial Union. Decorative details of the entrance include the four attached columns with Doric-style capitals, decorative carvings incorporating grotesques, rosettes, and the five-pointed star in the peak of the pediment, and the large arched window. A revolving door is in the doorway which has been modified from its original size.
