Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for April 16, 1990. Highlights of the update include sightings of a Baird's Sandpiper, a Le Conte's Sparrow, a Long-tailed Duck, a Red-shouldered Hawk, and Cattle Egrets. Also of note was the beginning of passerine and shorebird migration, with several new migrants being reported, including a Brown Thrasher, a Purple Martin, and Savannah Sparrows.
Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for April 23, 1990. Highlights of the update include sightings of a Snowy Plover, a Northern Mockingbird, a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and two White-winged Crossbills. Also of note was the presence of only one Smith's Longspur when there had been several hundred observed in the preceding weeks. In addition, there were sightings of several species of shorebirds and Warblers.

Highlights of the update include sightings of a Le Conte's Sparrow, a Henslow's Sparrow, a drake Cinnamon Teal, American Avocets, and 5 Broad-winged Hawks. Also of note were observations of several species of shorebirds as well as numerous reports of American White Pelicans.
Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for March 26, 1990. Highlights of the update include many reports from the height of waterfowl migration, one sighting in particular was comprised of 8000 waterfowl, including 4000 Ducks, 2000 Canada Geese, 1000 Snow Geese, and 1000 White-fronted Geese. Also of note were sightings of flocks of Smith's Longspurs, an early Common Loon, and an early Rough-winged Swallow.

Also of note were the large numbers of migrant bluebirds and waterfowl spreading across the state. Other interesting observations were of a Carolina Wren, a flock of Red Crossbills, and 6 Sparrow species, including a Harris' Sparrow.
Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for March 19, 1990. Highlights of the update include sightings of an Evening Grosbeak, 20 Purple Finches, 60 Fox Sparrows, and a flock of 100 Smith's Longspurs. Also of note were reports of many species of Ducks, including a Black Duck as well as sightings of an estimated 10,000 Ring-billed Gulls and 10,000 Snow Geese.

Iowa RBA update for April 17-23, 1995. Highlights of the update include sightings of a Snowy Egret, Prairie Falcon, White-faced Ibis, Smith's Longspurs, Sandhill Cranes and Chestnut-Collared Longspurs. Also, an important finding of four Fish Crows by Thomas H. Kent, if confirmed this would be a new state record.
