Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for March 26, 1990. Highlights of the update include many reports from the height of waterfowl migration, one sighting in particular was comprised of 8000 waterfowl, including 4000 Ducks, 2000 Canada Geese, 1000 Snow Geese, and 1000 White-fronted Geese. Also of note were sightings of flocks of Smith's Longspurs, an early Common Loon, and an early Rough-winged Swallow.
Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for March 12, 1990. Highlights of the update include sightings of waterfowl, Blackbirds, Bluebirds, Robins, Meadowlarks, and Killdeer being reported from all across the state. Also of note were observations of an Iceland Gull and a Red-necked Grebe.
Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for March 5, 1990. Highlights of the update include numerous sightings of waterfowl, including Common Mergansers, Goldeneyes, Bufflehead, and Hooded Mergansers. In addition to the waterfowl sightings, Blackbirds, Robins, and Killdeer all began appearing in greater numbers. Also of note were observations of an Iceland Gull, a Northern Saw-whet Owl, and an adult Golden Eagle.

Highlights of the update include sightings of Pacific Loon, a first winter Black-legged Kittiwake, a Surf Scoter, a first winter Thayer's Gull, and an immature Golden Eagle. Other observations of note were of a very late Scarlet Tanager, 2 Carolina Wrens, 2 Rough-legged Hawks, and 5 Bald Eagles.

Also of note was a one day observation of 81 total species, including 14 shorebird species at Coralville Lake. Others interesting sightings were of 10,000 Tree Swallows and 12 species of sparrows, including a Le Conte's and a Lincoln's.
