- The Waterloo Star was a newspaper for the Black community published weekly in Waterloo, Iowa, during the 1950s. It used the same slogan, "Waterloo's Only Negro Newspaper," as an earlier paper, The Waterloo Post. The Star covered news of interest to local African Americans, including racial integration and other political and cultural topics. The issues in this collection range from August to December 1956. They are digitized versions of microfilm copies.
