Highlights include a sacred concert at Union Congregational, a missionary meeting at Burns M.E. Church, and the Golden Rule Club’s anniversary program. The Intellectual Improvement Club elected delegates to the State Federation in Buxton. Fred Jackson, veteran fireman and Mason, hosted a grand reception, while a new business, the Variety Co., was launched by L.H.S. Brown and R.E. Patton. The Negro Republican Club prepared voters under the new Des Moines Plan, and editorials discussed the Brownsville Affair and upcoming city elections, and other topics.
