Paul L. Errington Digital Collection

Paul L. Errington who earned his PhD under Aldo Leopold, joined Iowa State University in 1932 as Research Assistant Professor in Zoology. He is best known for leading the first Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit in the United States. He is also recognized for his work in vertebrate and wetland ecology and his expertise on the phenomena of predation and automatic mechanisms of population regulation. He wrote more than 200 articles and authored four books, including Of Men and Marshes and Muskrat Populations.
